We were invited by the Queens Historical Society to put on a Living History in support of their exhibition on the 15th New York State Militia a/k/a the Hamitlon Rifles that was raised in the area. This was our first time at the QHS and also the debut event for a new recruit or 'Fresh Fish'. We took turns exploring the Kingsland Homestead house that was built in 1774. Please be patient with the background noise in the accompanying video. But that's what you get when performing in Queens.
Video provided by Superfan Christ Lauterbach: SKIRMISH: I spent the PM in Farmingville, NY for the annual Bald Hill Schoolhouse Civil War Encampment. North met South as Living Historians from the 67th NY and 30th Va camped across the field from each other. The afternoon skirmish filled with the air with gunsmoke as the opponents clashed.
