Living History at the Longwood Estate

September 20 - 21, 2025

We returned for a fourth time to the Brookhaven County Fair at the Longwood Estate in Ridge, Long Island along with fellow CW reenactors, the 30th Virginia, and Revolutionary War reenactors, the 3rd New York. Surgeon George Munkenbeck set up his hospital and the Historical section of the fair also had several civilian impressions including sewing (A Stitch in Time), Miss Diane's period cooking, and a blacksmith and broom maker. We were also joined by the Sons of the Grand Army of the Republic. Our Paul Brinkman brought along his artillery that was fired twice daily. Fortunately, the weather was excellent and turnout good. Let's hope that winning streak continues.
