Remembrance Day

Gettysburg, PA

November 16 - 17, 2018

This year marked 20 years that the 67th NY has been attending Remembrance Day in Gettysburg. And thankfully, this one was dry (unlike last year's monsoon). A snowstorm on Thursday blanketed the battlefield in white which made for a beautiful scene that we don't often see. We marched with the 2nd Federal Rifles at the head of the parade which was shortened yet again for security reasons and ended at the gates of the National Cemetery. Fortunately, the extra security (dump truck barriers notwithstanding) was more circumspect and less ominous. Friday night, we dined at the Garryowen Pub and Saturday's meal was at the Mason/Dixon Distillery.
