Year in Review

This year, the regiment said farewell to film and embraced digital photography for the website. We began with the double header Saint Patrick's Day parades in March and in April we returned to the Neshaminy reenactment after two years. The local Civil War living history community teamed up for a new educational program at Smithtown Historical Society. The main event for the season was the 140th Anniversary of the Battle Cedar Creek where we finally met a direct descendant of one of the original soldiers, Ed Yaw. At Remembrance Day, for the first time we decorated the graves in the National Cemetery and capped off the year with a return to the Christmas Ball held at Meadowedge Country Club in West Sayville.
