Thomas Wark enlisted at the age of 19 for three years of service on May 27, 1861, at Rochester and mustered in as a corporal in Company H, June 24, 1861. Wark was promoted to the rank of sergeant on October 19, 1862 and mustered out with the rest of his company on July 4, 1864, at New York city. Wark was born in 1842 and died in 1929 at age 86 and is buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, Monroe County, New York.
