Franklin Stillwell

Franklin Stillwell, aka Frank Stillwell, was a resident of Hempstead on Long Island and enlisted June 1, 1861, in Brooklyn, to serve three years. Mustering in as private in Co. I , June 20, 1861, he re-enlisted as a veteran on December 25, 1863. Stillwell, however was documented as being captured in action, May 6, 1864, at the Battle of the Wilderness and was later reported killed.
