Thomas Colden Cooper


Forty-three year old Thomas C. Cooper enlisted with the 67th New York, 1st Long Island Volunteers on August 9, 1862 at New York City. Although mustered in as a Private in Company I, two days later on the 11th, Cooper was made full Captain of his company. He was transfered to Company F on October 28, 1862 where he served until killed in action at the Wilderness on May 6, 1864.
