20TH ANNIVERSARY BALL
at the Brush Barn
Smithtown Historical Society

Smithtown, NY

November 4, 2017

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we invited all of our friends in the Civil War community, including the 9th Virginia, 30th Virginia, and Co. H, 14th Brooklyn to join us at the Brush Barn at Smithtown Historical Society. Given that we were founded in the month of November, we had a Thanksgiving themed meal catered by Lakoma deli in Ronkonkoma. For period entertainment we listened to the music of Larry Moser, Mary Nagin, our own Max Rowland, and Chart Guthrie guided us through the dances popular at the time. We gave out gifts, both formal and informal, and some speeches were made for the occasion. All the elements came together magically...food, music, dancing...and we all shared an evening we will not soon forget.
