2nd Annual Civil War Weekend
at the Grange

Sayville, NY

September 25 - 26, 2010

The weather was far more cooperative for our Second Civil War Weekend at our homebase of the Grange. The 9th VA, 30th VA, and Sgt Tom Strong (10th NY Cavalry) and his trusty horse Finn all returned to reenact skirmishes on both days. In addition to touring Union and Confederate camps, the public was also treated to period music, broom making, a blacksmith, a candlelight tour on Saturday, and a Surgeon's Impression by George Munkenbeck of the 14th Brooklyn. We were also fortunate in having two professional photographers visit us from the city on Saturday: R.J. Mickelson and Christopher Lynch. Mr. Mickelson's photos can be see on Page Four. We're all looking forward to making next year's bigger and better.
