20th Annual
Neshaminy Civil War Reenactment

Bensalem, PA

April 18 - 19, 2009

Traditionally, Neshaminy occurs the last wekend in April however it was moved forward one week to give berth to Spotsylvania 145th planned two weeks later. Ironically, Spotsylvania was canceled but that ensured a higher than normal turnout for Neshaminy and we had fantastic weather. A great way to celebrate an event that celebrated 20 years of existence. Seven of us fell in with the 61st NY to form Third Company and for the first time we were designated Color Company. No doubt in thanks to the efforts of our own Color Sergeant in creating a 'New Improved' Color Guard for our battalion. This year's scenario was the Battle of Monocacy and we also had a surprise guest... former Major Bill Magargle returned to the ranks after a two year absence.
