Historical Timeline

Huntington, NY

July 19, 2003

Of all the Timelines that we did in our history, this was probably the most interesting. To celebrate its 350th Birthday, the Village of Huntington had the brilliant idea of inviting Living History Groups spanning nearly every period to camp at Heckscher Park. This 'time-line' event included delegations from the Colonial Militia, French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, the Spanish-American War, plus WWII and Vietnam. Us Yanks and Rebels realized we had some stiff competition in the Living History department. Still, despite any rivalry, we all the chance to review and respect each others fascination with a particular period of history. The weather was perfect for July and we drew in a lot of public. A very successful day for Living History.
